The Gylt AI Writing Process

With the world still getting used to AI, we felt it necessary to share our writing process to help educate how an AI-led content business like Gylt produces written content.

Summary: To make our content, we identified and defined our view of Life's six core Pillars to build a content taxonomy. Then we combine our human brains with AI to plan, create, and publish content using our Content Production Framework to help Gylt: Get Your Life Together.

Building a Content Taxonomy

The first step in our approach to building content was building a content taxonomy. We started by identifying the key themes - or how we reference them, Life Pillars - that represent the critical aspects of someone's life. You may have already seen our 6 Life Pillars on our About Gylt page, but you haven't seen the breakdown of these pillars - sometimes up to 7 layers deep - that make up the depth of our content taxonomy and strategy for Gylt. Let's show an example of one of these levels in the Life Pillar of Fun & Leisure:

The Life Pillar Taxonomy of Fun and Leisure

  • Level 1: Fun and Leisure
  • Level 2: Fun and Leisure > Creativity and Self-Expression
  • Level 3: Fun and Leisure > Creativity and Self-Expression > Seeking out New Experiences
  • Level 4: Fun and Leisure > Creativity and Self-Expression > Seeking out New Experiences > Poetry > [Level 5] > [Level 6] > etc.

It's important to note that in the Level 2 example above, "Creativity and Self-Expression" was one of several Level 2 Content Categories available. Across each of our 6 Life Pillars, we took the time to break a category down to the furthest point we believe was still valuable enough to help our readers get the insight they need to live more organized, stress-free lives.

To help us prepare an exhaustive taxonomy list of our 6 Life Pillars, we used several resources including, but not limited to, Wikipedia,  university curriculums,  publicly available taxonomies, and AI tools - a good segway into what the "AI" in Gylt.AI means.

The "AI" in Gylt.AI

Today, there is a big buzz around Artificial Intelligence (AI). With so many AI tools being released at neck-breaking speed and the world finally reaching a tipping point, heavily influenced by OpenAI's ChatGPT, we're experiencing an incredible, new phenomenon making AI feel like the birth of the internet. In fact, it inspired the birth of our company, Get Your Life Together LLC, which launched in 2023 at the peak of the AI boom. In conjunction with the rise of AI and the timing of the founding of our company, we acquired a slew of web domains to help empower everyone to live a better life and decided to make our flagship site, Gylt.AI.

As a company, we are fully embracing the use of AI to successfully run the operations of our business, from building business plans and sales collateral to filing taxes and assisting in creating our publications. Let's continue by sharing AI's use in content creation for Gylt.

The Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our Writing Process

Let's clarify: we do not rely exclusively on AI tools to produce our content. While AI is disrupting the content creator economy, our approach cannot solely rely on 100% AI-produced content, given the nature of the critical, often sensitive, topics in life that we cover. This is not to say that AI can't help you; in fact, there are many ways AI can help, but we must take the accuracy, integrity, and quality of our content more seriously if we want to help all our readers live better more-organized lives. Here are a few ways we use AI tools for content creation:

  • Content Production: We use several AI tools to help build out and examine content to be produced in a way that helps readers find and engage with it.
  • Content Analysis: Many AI tools help us examine our content's writing style and tone to be consistent with how we want our posts to be presented.
  • Editing and Proofreading: We use AI tools to help edit and proofread content during editing and in real-time for grammar and spelling errors.
  • Content Research: As mentioned in building out our Life Pillar Content Taxonomy, AI tools can help in content ideation and prioritization to ensure we prepare relevant articles that we expect readers to find most useful.

While we only called out the use of AI here, there are many moments where we use plain old regular intelligence (after all, we're all still humans here). You can expect us to cite content from various non-AI sources like Google Scholar, 1st and 3rd party research, other major publication sites, and other trusted content creators.

AI tools are at the root of Gylt, and we hope that through your engagement with our content, you can build trust and credibility from our advice, stories, perspectives, and tools we hope will help you. To demonstrate how we take the quality of our content seriously, let's close out the writing process for Gylt by sharing our Content Production Framework for the content we publish.

The Content Production Framework for Gylt

Like similar approaches for high-quality publishing sites, we adhere to specific steps and guidelines for publishing an article on our site. In our Content Production Framework, we follow 12 steps for each publication. Let's examine them here:

  1. Identify the Topic of Discussion
  2. Determine the "Gylt Article Type" and associated Life Pillar the topic falls into
  3. Review the internal Gylt Checklist per Article Type, per Pillar
  4. Prioritize and Delegate required Elements for Content Production
  5. Organize All Elements and Pass them to the Writer(s)
  6. Writer(s) to Prepare the First Draft and gather Feedback
  7. With Feedback, gather Stories, Anecdotes, Quotes, Questions, and other Media to be used in the publication
  8. Prepare the Second Draft or Third Draft, etc., until the Final Draft is prepared
  9. Send to internal Search Quality Evaluator and edit, if needed
  10. Get the Draft Signed off by Editing Team Stakeholders
  11. Publish to Site
  12. Review for Inaccuracies and Monitor any Feedback and Engagement.

Some steps in our framework were oversimplified, but we hope this sheds some light on how we publish our content.
